Dakota Johnson is Hosting 'Saturday Night Live' with Justin Timberlake as the Musical Guest

Guess what? Dakota Johnson is getting ready to host "Saturday Night Live" for the second time on January 27, and she's bringing along Justin Timberlake as the musical guest.

In the upcoming movie "Madame Web," hitting theaters on February 14, Johnson takes on the role of Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who can see into the future and this cool spider world. She's sharing the spotlight with Sydney Sweeney, the star of "Euphoria." You might also remember Dakota from her lead role as Anastasia Steele in the 2015 film "Fifty Shades of Grey."

Now, Justin Timberlake, a familiar face on the SNL stage and a proud member of the "Five-Timers Club," is gearing up for his fifth solo musical act on the show. After rocking it in the 2023 film "Trolls Band Together," this Emmy and Grammy Award winner is dropping his sixth studio album. According to his buddy Timbaland, who's teamed up with him on five previous albums, it's going to be some "fun Justin" music.

He describes it as a bit like "FutureSex/LoveSounds," not too deep or heavy. Just the kind of music you'd expect – easy to bob your head and dance to. Timberlake believes music is a young sport, and you've got to keep it fun and youthful. Even though they've both seen a lot in life, he says you can't overthink it. You've got to bring back that 13 or 18-year-old energy, or you might slip into the old-fogey stage real quick. (Laughter) That's just how it is these days.

And if you're wondering about SNL's recent lineup, Jacob Elordi and Renee Rapp are up for the January 20 episode. This season has seen hosts like Emma Stone, Jason Momoa, Pete Davidson, and musical guests including Bad Bunny, Ice Spice, the Foo Fighters, and Boygenius. Notably, Bad Bunny pulled double duty as both host and performer. Quite the lineup, right?
