NBC's famous late-night comedy show, "Saturday Night Live," is back after taking a break last year. The break started in April 2023 due to the Writers Guild of America, the union for many Hollywood writers, going on strike.
The show returned on October 14, 2023, with the season 49 premiere. It had Pete Davidson as the host and Ice Spice as the musical guest. The entire cast from season 48 came back for the premiere. James Austin Johnson and Sarah Sherman got promoted, and comedian Chloe Troast joined as a new crew member.
Let's dive into what's happening in the first show of SNL season 49 in 2024, airing on January 20.
Hulu + Live TV subscribers can also watch the show live. Regular Hulu subscribers can stream it on Sunday, a day after the new episode airs.
